My Story
It started very simply, I didn’t have a master plan to start a company, there was no grandiose idea. I needed to release some anxiety and grief. I went to what has worked for me in the past and that was being creative and designing … embroidery, knitting, working with textiles and various tactile stimulation. I am fortunate that my father taught and guided me as a young child to all these creative outlets. I went to a wool & yarn store, picked up a needle and thread and of course started sourcing adornments and bling, and before I knew it, lucca b (lovingly named after my only child) came to life.
lucca b is a hand-made handbag line where each bag is unique, no two are exactly the same. Each handbag is made of sustainably-sourced 100% wool and every bag is stitched and adorned by hand. New designs and expansion ideas are already in the works and the excitement builds!
I hope that lucca b we will continue to grow! My goal is to continue to bring you splashes of color, fun, and hope via a handbag and who knows what else in the future! I thank everyone and everything that inspires me and feedback is always welcomed. The goal is to add happiness with the small things and to celebrate the happiness and whimsical joys of life!
Looking forward to creating more fun and with immense gratitude for all the support and for supporting artisan companies - maria g
